Nominations Now Open for VACT Board of Directors

Volleyball ACT is inviting nominations from individuals who are committed to strengthening the sport of volleyball and supporting its strategic growth. As a volunteer-led, not-for-profit organisation, VACT relies on strong Board leadership to support its vision and deliver impact across the ACT community.

Three Elected Director Positions Available

At the 2025 Annual General Meeting, members will vote to appoint:

  • Two Directors for terms of up to three years

  • One Director for a one-year term to fill a casual vacancy

These positions offer a meaningful opportunity to contribute to governance, planning, and oversight at a pivotal time for the sport.

Who Should Apply?

Volleyball ACT welcomes nominations from individuals who meet the essential criteria, including:

  • A commitment to growing volleyball across the ACT

  • Strategic thinking and board-level contribution

  • Understanding of key issues in sport

  • Legal and ethical governance responsibilities

The Nominations Committee has also identified preferred experience in:

  • Finance

  • Risk Management

  • Commercialisation and business development

  • Marketing and communications

Nomination Process

Interested candidates must submit the official Director Nomination Form and a supporting statement (max 500 words), including the completed Appendix A: Board Skill Matrix Evaluation.

Key Dates

  • Nominations Open: Monday 5 May 2025

  • Nominations Close: 5.00pm, Friday 16 May 2025

Completed nominations must be emailed to the General Manager at GM@volleyballact.com.au, including a valid digital signature.
