Application:Good Neighbours Invitational Honours Division

The Good Neighbours Invitational Honours Division is the premier high-performance division of GNVT26, bringing together some of the strongest Men’s and Women’s volleyball teams from across Australia.

With only 8 places available in each division, selection will be competitive. This is an opportunity to test your team against high-level opposition in a genuine best-versus-best competition environment.

Competition Details

• 📅 Dates: Friday 27 – Sunday 29 November 2026
• 📍 Venue: AIS Volleyball Hall, Canberra
• 🏐 Divisions: Men’s Honours & Women’s Honours
• 👥 Capacity: 8 teams per division
• 🎯 Minimum Matches: 3
• 📋 Rules: Current FIVB Rules
• 💰 Entry Fee: $800

Competition Format

Each division will consist of two pools of four teams.

Pool Stage → Semi-Finals → Bronze Medal Match / Grand Final

Every team is guaranteed a minimum of three matches, with the opportunity to progress to the medal rounds.

Match Format

Pool and preliminary-stage matches will be played as Best of 5 sets within a timed two-hour window:

• 10-minute warm-up
• 110 minutes playing time
• 2-hour total timeslot

The Grand Final will be an untimed Best of 5 sets match.

Apply to Compete

Teams from across Australia are invited to apply for consideration for one of the limited Honours Division positions.

Applications will be reviewed by Volleyball ACT based on the team's overall strength and suitability for the division.

Applicants should provide information demonstrating:

• Current level of competition
• Recent results and achievements
• Player and team experience
• State, national or other high-level competition experience
• Any other information supporting the team's application

Selection Process

1. Submit Application
Complete the Honours Division Application Form and provide the requested information.

2. Application Review
Volleyball ACT will assess applications against the competitive standard of the division.

3. Selection
A maximum of 8 teams per division will be selected.

4. Confirmation
Selected teams will receive confirmation and registration information directly.

Please note: Submitting an application does not guarantee selection. Volleyball ACT reserves the right to select teams that best contribute to the competitive standard of the Honours Division.

Duty Requirements

Participating teams will be required to fulfil allocated duty requirements throughout the tournament.

Volleyball ACT will allocate accredited first referees wherever possible. Where a first referee cannot be provided, the rostered team will be required to fulfil the full duty roster.

The draw will be structured to avoid rostering teams for duty immediately before their own match wherever possible.
