ACT Beach Volleyball League

Volleyball ACT’s Beach Volleyball Facility provide a sports experience like no other!

Spring and Summer nights on the sand, under lights, music playing and balls flying!

Competitions are available for all levels of player from beginners through to the experienced. Play in a pair or mixed four! If you don't have a team just let us know and we can find you one! Beach Volleyball is all about fun and social competitions!

Our seasons run from October to December and January to March. 

All competitions are held at the Lyneham Beach Facility, Thurbon Road, Lyneham.

How do I enter a Beach Volleyball Competition?

The Lyneham Beach Facility is available for hire should you want to play.

If you do not have a team to register with for the Beach League 2026 - Season 1, please provide your details through the EOI Form here.

NOTE: VACT will do it's best to find a suitable team, but cannot guarantee that we will be able to find you a team

Beach Pairs - Men's
Entry Closes 26th January 2026 @ 11:59PM
Weekday: Monday Nights
Dates: 2nd February 2026 to 30th March 2026
Format: The games will best of 3 sets (21, 21 & 15), 50 minutes per match will be allocated. Teams will be given a 5 minute warm-up period at the start of each match.

Beach Pairs - Women's 
Entry Closes 26th January 2026 @ 11:59PM
Weekday: Tuesday Nights 
Dates: 3rd February 2026 to 31st March 2026
Format: The games will best of 3 sets (21, 21 & 15), 50 minutes per match will be allocated. Teams will be given a 5 minute warm-up period at the start of each match.

Beach Pairs - Mixed
Entry Closes 26th January 2026 @ 11:59PM
Weekday: Wednesday Nights
Dates: 4th February 2026 to 1st April 2026
Format: The games will best of 3 sets (21, 21 & 15), 50 minutes per match will be allocated. Teams will be given a 5 minute warm-up period at the start of each match.

Beach Fours - Mixed
Entry Closes 26th January 2026 @ 11:59PM
Weekday: Thursday Nights
Dates: 5th February 2026 to 2nd April 2026
Format: The games will best of 3 sets (21, 21 & 15), 50 minutes per match will be allocated. Teams will be given a 5 minute warm-up period at the start of each match.

Pairs Beach Volleyball
VACT Division One: 
Beach Volleyball - ABVT Div 1, AJBVT U21s, NSWBVT Div 1 & Div 2. 
Indoor Volleyball - CVL Premier, Men's Div One. 
VACT Division Two: 
Beach Volleyball - ABVT Div 2, AJBVT U19s, NSWBVT Div 3 & 4. 
Indoor Volleyball - CVL Reserves, Women's Div One, Men's Div Two. 
VACT Division Three: 
Indoor Volleyball - Women's Div Two & Three, Men's Div Three. 
VACT Youth Division*:  
Indoor Volleyball - Women's Div Four & Youth, Men's Div Four  
*Any U15 or U14 teams that are playing 3-a-side are required to enter into the Youth Division.  

Mixed Beach Guide 
VACT Division One: 
Similar standard to Rec Div 1 for indoor.  Should also include players from Div One & Div Two noted above.
VACT Division Two: 
Similar standard to Rec Div 2 for indoor.  Should also include players from Div Three noted above. 
VACT Division Three: 
Similar standard to Rec Div 3 for indoor.  Ideal place to start for teams that are starting out and learning the sport.
