Terms Of Registration
Waitlist Status
By submitting this form, the registrant acknowledges that this is a waitlist registration only and does not guarantee a place in the Good Neighbour Volleyball Tournament. A team will be offered a spot only if a currently registered team withdraws.
Waitlist Order and Priority
Waitlisted teams will be offered available spots strictly on a first come, first served basis, according to the date and time their waitlist registration was received, within the relevant division.
Notification of Availability
If a spot becomes available, VACT will contact the nominated team contact using the details provided at registration. It is the team's responsibility to ensure these details remain accurate and current, and to respond promptly to any offer.
No Fee Payable While Waitlisted
No entry fee is payable simply to join the waitlist. Standard entry fees and payment terms, as set out in the Event Information Document, will only apply once a team accepts an offered spot and is confirmed into the tournament.
Division Allocation for Waitlisted Teams
A team's waitlist position applies to the division nominated at registration. VACT reserves the right to offer a team a place in a different division (higher or lower) if their nominated division does not become available, subject to the team's agreement.
Withdrawal from the Waitlist
Teams may withdraw from the waitlist at any time by notifying VACT. Teams that decline an offered spot will be removed from the waitlist for that division unless they request otherwise at the time of declining.
Registration and Insurance
All players must be registered with a State Association for insurance purposes before participating. Players who are not currently members may purchase a two-day membership for $30 via the VACT website (registration link provided). Only players recorded on the official scoresheet are eligible to play, and players must have participated in at least one round match to be eligible for finals.
Team Contact Details
Each registered team must provide accurate contact information, including full name, email address, mobile number, and correct team name. Teams are responsible for ensuring this information is kept up to date for the duration of the tournament, including while on the waitlist.
Conduct, Fines and Forfeits
Alcohol consumption is prohibited in the playing venue, and any player deemed under the influence by the Venue Supervisor will not be permitted to play. Duty teams that are late or absent will incur a duty forfeit, a deduction of 4 competition points, and a $150 fine; absence from finals duty carries a $150 fine and may affect eligibility to re-enter the following year at the Tournament Director's discretion.
Protests and Disputes
All protests are overseen by the Chief Referee and must be resolved at the time of the match; no protests will be accepted after a match's conclusion. The Tournament Director will only intervene in exceptional circumstances, and decisions on behavioural issues rest with the Chief Referee based on the Venue Supervisor's assessment.
