Recreational League

Volleyball ACT's Recreational Indoor competitions are for all players looking to participate in a fun, friendly and social competition. These mixed gender competitions are designed to meet your exercise and team competition needs at a fun and recreational level. The on site bar and restaurant at Pick Up Stix is perfect for post match pizza or beers.

Match Time Limits

All round matches will be best of five sets to a time limit of 1 hour (including 10 minute warm-up period)..

Team Fees

The 2024 Spring Season team fees are based on 12 weeks:

• Recreational Division 1, Divsion 2 and Division 3 = $980 (Per team)
• Teams not fully paid by week 3 will not be permitted to play until payment is made

Team Composition

Teams in all recreational divisions are mixed teams. A team must have at least 1 male and 1 female player on the court at all times. 

Player Registration

All players must be registered with Volleyball ACT before their first match.  Registration checks will be performed throughout the season and unregistered players who take the court will result in their team forfeiting the match. Registration is on an individual basis and is separate to the team's competition fees.

How do I play Recreational League?

Most of our teams are social groups so we encourage to grab your friends or workmates and put a team together. This is the perfect competition for new or returning players who want to enjoy their sport while having fun in a social environment. If you are an individual just contact the VACT office and we can link you up with a team!
