Volleyball ACT is pleased to announce the appointment of Ciaran O’Rourke as our new General Manager, commencing the week of 19 May 2025.

Ciaran brings over a decade of leadership experience across the Australian sport sector. Most recently, he worked with the Australian Sports Commission as a Project Advisor in Safeguarding and Integrity. Prior to that, he served as General Manager of the Canberra Cavalry in the Australian Baseball League and as CEO of Bowls ACT, where he was responsible for governance, stakeholder engagement, and policy development.

Ciaran also held senior roles with Capital Football and Canberra United, overseeing high-performance programs and operations. His strong background in project management, strategy, and stakeholder relations will be a valuable asset to Volleyball ACT as we continue to grow the sport across the ACT and support our clubs, members, and athletes.

We are delighted to welcome Ciaran into the organisation and look forward to the leadership and energy he will bring to the role.
