VOLLEYBALL ACT Team Selections for the AUSTRALIAN JUNIOR VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS IN JULY!

In its first year, the Australian Junior Volleyball Championships invites teams from across Australia, and overseas to compete for gold in the u19 and u23, men’s and women’s age groups. The new event follows the concept of the past “Australian Junior Volleyball Championships (AJVC)”, but with a separate tournament for the Under 19 and Under 23 age groups. The younger age groups will be competing in the newly named Australian Youth Volleyball Championship in late September this year.  

This change in structure from Volleyball Australia also opens the new event for entry from affiliated associations, clubs, or groups, when previously the event was restricted to only state representative teams from around Australia and New Zealand. This change has allowed Volleyball ACT to further develop our indoor volleyball pathways supporting Volleyball ACT teams in the under 19 age group and Canberra Heat u23/ pathway teams in the u23 age group.

Volleyball ACT is excited to not only see interstate volleyball back in action but we are looking forward to seeing our athletes in action at this competitive playing opportunity that will assist the pathway of development for young, passionate, and talented volleyballers.

The competition will kick off an exciting season of interstate indoor volleyball for 2022, with Sydney Olympic Park playing host from Wednesday 7^th of July till Saturday 9^th of July 2022.
