Terms Of Registration
By registering for PlayVolley, the parent/guardian ("you") agrees to the following terms and conditions on behalf of the registered participant ("the child").
1. Eligibility
PlayVolley is designed for children under the age of 12. Volleyball ACT reserves the right to decline or transfer a registration if the participant does not meet this age requirement.
2. Registration & Payment
• Registration is only confirmed once full payment of $155 (incl. GST) has been received.
• Places are non-transferable to another program without prior approval from the
Volleyball ACT Events Team.
3. Cancellations & Refunds
• Cancellations made at least 7 days prior to the program start date may be eligible for a full refund, less any administration fees.
• Cancellations made within 7 days of the start date or after the program has commenced are generally non-refundable, except in cases of medical necessity (supporting documentation may be required).
• Volleyball ACT reserves the right to cancel or reschedule sessions due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. extreme weather, venue unavailability). Where a full session is cancelled by Volleyball ACT and not rescheduled, a pro-rata refund or credit may be
offered.
4. Health, Safety & Medical Information
• Parents/guardians must disclose any relevant medical conditions, allergies, or additional needs at the time of registration.
• Volleyball ACT staff and volunteers will take reasonable care to ensure a safe environment, but participation in physical activity carries an inherent risk of injury. By registering, you acknowledge and accept this risk.
• In the event of a medical emergency, you consent to Volleyball ACT staff seeking appropriate medical treatment on behalf of the child if a parent/guardian cannot be immediately reached.
5. Behaviour & Code of Conduct
• All participants, parents, and guardians are expected to behave respectfully towards coaches, volunteers, staff, and other participants.
• Volleyball ACT follows the integrity and safeguarding policies set by Volleyball Australia, available at volleyball.org.au/integrity/
These policies cover child safety, antidiscrimination, and member protection.
• Volleyball ACT reserves the right to remove a participant from the program, without refund, in cases of serious or repeated breaches of conduct.
6. Photography & Media Consent
• Volleyball ACT may take photographs or videos during sessions for promotional or marketing purposes (e.g. website, social media, newsletters).
• If you do not consent to your child being photographed or filmed, please notify the Events Team in writing prior to the program start date.
7. Personal Belongings
• Participants are responsible for their own personal belongings, including equipment such as knee pads, strapping tape, and ankle braces. Volleyball ACT is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.
